Paris was triying to convince Capulet to let him marry his daugther, Juliet, but Capulet was against that idea, he was saying that Juliet was too young to get marry, he didn`t want Juliet to have experience of her mother, because sometimes when the girls marry to young, can have a non-happy life.

Maybe you could say:
Later, they were stopped by their wives that thought they were very old to fight.
Not both of the wives believed they were old! Only Lady Capulet implies that when she says:
“A crutch, a crutch! Why call you for a sword?”

Benvolio draws in the fight between the servants because he is trying to stop the struggle between the servants of the Capulets, Sampson and Gregory, and the servants of the Montague, Abram and Balthasar, which are servants of his family.

Sampson and Gregory say that the Montague’s men and women were the weak ones, specially women because they were the ones that were pushed to the wall.
