    The Puritans bible was very important for them because it is the story of creation. They saw it as a journey of salvation since it was the literal word of God. Puritans placed great emphasis on education.

    American hero that was interested in natural science and medicine.In that time a ship from west indies that arrived to Boston carried the smallpox that rapidly spread through the population and this in 1721 was the mayor public-healh problem. Cotton Mather heard of a method.
    This method seemed iligical,but it works a beat.He started a campain in Boston in order to make the inoculation,but the Boston community opposed to this idea.

    in the puritant view, a contract existed between God and humanity; they believed that people should enter freely into agreement conserning their goverment life in the mayflower compact, a document for america constitucional democracy, but they believed that saintly “elect” should exert the great influence in goverment, so their political view twnded to be undemocratic

    The age of enlightement startes in Europe during the XVII and XVIII centuries by the rationalists.
    Sr. Isaac Newton formulated the laws of gravity and motion and he and the other rationalists believed that God’s best gift was the logical reason because it joined scientific and spiritual truth.
    American people and colonies became generalists and thinkers, they made scientific experiments to achieve results.
